Dream of educated Nepal

our education reaches its true potential only when it’s shared or applied practically. So we all should think about it. Throughout our live we probably have used lots and lots of books! However wouldn’t it be more rational and meaningful, if those books aren’t given idle spaces in our homes, and instead given to people who could really benefit from the knowledge inside such books? Thus I request all of you to hand out these valuable books, which contributed us in gaining our knowledge, to other needy people as well.
Bookmandu is a platform for those potential volunteers, who think that books can be shared and exchanged with those who are in need. Our aim is to make a fully functioning network of donors and receivers of used and unused books that we wish to donate. Our aim is to make full utilization of unused and idle books by making a collection center and encouraging people to donate books, which are going to be distributed across schools and colleges in rural areas of Nepal.

Just like a child, who needs a helping hand to take its first steps, Bookmandu requires support from you all, to continue its efforts for meaningful results. We want to create and nurture a culture of book donation in Nepal.

Our dream project is to make Kathmandu city an open library where people needing books aren’t refused the knowledge, just because of their weak economic status.
Therefore, if you want to help us or know people who could be interested and willing to help us by donating their books or in any other manner, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
